Using CompactFlash boot media for system restore
This procedure applies to the CompactFlash card from which the K2 product normally
boots. If desired, you can prepare a second CompactFlash boot media for restoring
your K2 Solo Media Server, as follows:
1. For each K2 Solo Media Server, procure a blank CompactFlash boot media from
Grass Valley. You must use the CompactFlash media supplied by Grass Valley. Do
not use CompactFlash media procured elsewhere.
2. Label or otherwise identify the blank CompactFlash media with the name of the K2
Solo Media Server it restores.
3. If you have not already done so, use the USB Recovery Flash Drive and create a
recovery image of the K2 Solo Media Server.
4. Prepare to restore the K2 Solo Media Server by booting from the USB Recovery
