drying cycle.
7.2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
MACHINE USE
1. Load the dryer
Press the main switch. The display will light
up.
Note: If you do not press a button within
3 minutes the display will automati-
cally go off. It will light up again
when a button is pressed.
Open the door
Check the lint filter. If it needs cleaning,
proceed as in the "Lint filter" paragraph,
section 7.5. Make sure that the lint filter is in
its correct position. The machine must by no
means be set to work without the filter.
Spread the garments out and place them into
the drum. Maximum drum capacity depends
on fabric type. To this respect, refer to the
table in the "Laundry preparation" para-
graph above. After loading the laundry, snap
the door shut.
The machine will not start with the door
open or incorrectly closed.
2. How to read the display
Program information
(1) - Program display: reads the currently
selected program, P1 to P8. When the pro-
gram is running, it reads cycle progress.
(2) - Start sign: the program is in progress.
(3) - Stop sign: the program is over or it was
interrupted.

Do not tumble-dry the following:
-
fabrics labelled "do not expose to dry
heat";
-
garments that have been dry-cleaned
at home;
-
foam plastic;

fabric containing glass fibre;

woolens.
Check that no foreign objects remain inside
the pockets and folds.
Clips, buckles, coins, screws, needles and
the like may damage the machine.
Do up metal buttons, zips and clasps. Wrap
belt buckles in cloth.
As for the loadable weight and recommended
drying temperature, reference is made to the
table below.

Soap containing solvents
Laundry treated with this kind of soap can-
not be dried using this appliance, as this
would damage machine components and
release harmful vapour (risk of fire and
explosion). Rinse pre-treated garments in
water before introducing them into the dryer.
Wool
Tumble-drying woollens or fabrics contain-
ing wool may cause felting and shrinkage.
Curtains
Synthetic curtains should not be tumble-
dried, as they would come out wrinkled.
Down
Garments containing down must not tum-
ble-dried.
Environment-friendly laundry treatment
For the sake of the environment it is advis-
able to consider the following advice:

Fill the machine to the maximum of
its capacity (following program
tables).
-
A small load of laundry is a waste of
energy, whereas an excessive load
may result in poor drying results.
-
It is advisable to curb consumption
by predrying the laundry as much as
possible. To this purpose select the

Press the START button to start the drying
program.
The STOP button can be used to interrupt the
program. To this purpose, hold it down for
three seconds.
The word START will light up on the dis-
play to show that the drying program has
begun.
Error messages
If an error message appears on the display
after a program has ended or has been inter-
rupted, proceed as follows:
-
write down the error message
displayed
-
turn off the main switch
-
open the door and take out the
laundry
-
contact the after-sales service.
Safety measures
The appliance cannot be used to dry dry-
cleaned fabrics.
Do not allow children to use the machine or
tamper with it.
Do not spray the machine with water when
cleaning.
4. When the program is over
A beep will indicate that the drying program
is over. The word STOP will then light up on
the display. The display is switched off three
minutes after the end of the program.
Open the door. Take out the laundry and
make sure that the drum is empty.
Close the door and turn off the main switch.
Clean the lint filter.
