GPSoverIP
short for: Global Positioning System over Internet Protocol. Procedure for the transfer
of GPS data by means of an internet protocol. Freely accessible interfaces facilitate diverse
application and programming possibilities. The patented procedure is an elegant and efficient
possibility for the use of GPS data.
Graticule
The graticule of the earth is a thought coordinate system on the earth’s surface with length
and width circles cutting themselves in a rectangular form; it is used for the geographical location.
The latitudes in this case are counted from the equator, the poles are at 90° North and South,
the longitudes are counted from an arbitrary zero meridian to East and West to each 180°.
The determination of the angles does correspond with the usual spherical coordinate system
in mathematics and physics. With the precise location it must be noticed that geographical
coordinates can have different reference systems. The most frequently used reference system is
the WGS84. According to purpose also other reference ellipsoids, a ball or the Geoid are used.

Maut
Maut is a name for customs (toll) derived from the Gothic mota (Customs) in the sense of a
way toll. An alternative concept for maut is street charge. Generally two principles of the toll
calculation can be distinguished:
• Access dependant fee: In the case of payment of the toll one receives a vignette and the
right of using a certain street (for example motorways).
• Use dependent fee: Here the toll is given depending on the actual use for example at a
toll place.
The amount of a toll can depend on different properties of the user and/or his vehicle. Most
frequently the toll depends on size, length and/or weight of the vehicle, however also other
dependences, for example number of axles, pollutant class, use time and weekday, kind of the
transported goods can be considered.
Navigation system
An electronic device that leads the user to a geographical target, a target control
system. An important component in this case is a subsystem for the position sensing. Systems
of this kind were developed first of all for the military field. However, today one means mostly a
civilian system for the traffic by a navigation system.
The FM transmitter
transmits audio signals, e.g. MP3 from your USB stick via radio waves from the
GPSeye IN1 to your car radio. You can set two transmission channels (frequencies). Annoying
cables are not necessary and you can enjoy for example the music from the GPSeye IN1 with
the full quality of your car radio.
