19. Open Interfaces

The extension xxx is representing the service of the file. E.g. an SMS file has the name

nnnnn.sms or a DATAoverIP file has the name nnnnn.data.
It is recommended that the first created file has the number 00000 and every following

file has the last number plus one: 00000, 00001, 00002 . . . When the number is at 99999

the following number is 00000: 99998, 99999, 00000, 00001. . . With this pattern, it is not

necessary to check the folder of still existing files. Usually a number file is processed and

deleted immediately, so there are usually a few files at the same time existing.

Files with Fixed Names

These files have a name that is determining the service and the extension “dat”. E.g. for

the configuration the file “config.dat” or for diagnosis the file “diag.dat” is used.

Files with a user defined Name

These files have an arbitrary name that is chosen by the application, and a fix file extension

that is determining the service. These files are used by the user application.

File Locations

In the following section the files are listed with their names and locations.
