Device name
: This name is dis
-
played with the MC-Config pro
-
gram and can also be sent to
the DHCP server as the device
name for DHCP.
Security
(access protection): To
protect the configuration of the
radio modem from being
changed or read out, you can
define an
Admin
with
Name
and
Password
here.
For someone who should only
see the configuration but not
be able to change it, you can
define a user as
Monitor
who
can open the configuration but
cannot make any changes to
the parameter.
SNMP
: The Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP)
is a network protocol for moni
-
toring and controlling network
elements from a central sta
-
tion. The MIB file, which pro
-
vides a device description, can
be downloaded from the radio
modem via a link. The
Commu
-
nity name
is set to
public
by de
-
fault.
Webserver: The web server of
the radio modem can be ac
-
cessed via HTTP or HTTPS. At
this point you can (de)activate
both protocols and define the
port numbers for these proto
-
cols. Setting the port numbers
can be important if you are working in NAT mode and LAN clients should also be ac
-
cessible on these ports. For the HTTPS function, a customer specific certificate for
the web server can be uploaded at the bottom of this page.
