2. Adjust the temperature to achieve and maintain your com-

fort level.  Do not adjust temperature to extreme tem-
perature levels.

3. Ensure doors and windows are closed during unit’s op-

eration in COOL or HEAT modes.

4. Use the remote control to set TIMER ON.  This selects

the time for the unit to begin operation.

5. Never place objects near the unit’s air inlet or outlet, since

this may reduce the unit’s efficiency and may stop the
unit’s operation.

6. Filter must be cleaned regularly to maintain the unit’s

performance.

7. Do not operate unit with the horizontal louver in the closed

position.

Wipe unit with a clean, soft, dry cloth.  Never use bleach or
abrasives on the unit.

NOTES:

A cloth dampened with cold water may be used on the
indoor unit if it is very dirty.  Dry with a soft cloth.

Do not use chemically treated cloths or dusters to
clean the unit.

Do not use benzine, thinner, polishing powder or simi-
lar solvents for cleaning.  These may cause the plas-
tic surface to crack or warp.

Water hotter than 84°F (40°C) should never be used to
clean the front panel.  Using water hotter than recom-
mended could cause discoloration or warping of the
front panel.

A clogged air filter reduces the cooling efficiency of the unit.

  

Clean filters every two weeks.

1. Gently lift the indoor unit panel up to an angle until a

clicking sound is heard.

2. Grasp the air filter handle and lift it up slightly to remove

it from the filter holder and then pull downward.

3. Remove the air filter from the indoor unit and clean with a

vacuum cleaner or rinse with water, allowing the filter to
dry completely before reinstalling in the unit.
