AIR CONDITIONER OPERATION

AUTO Operation:

When the unit is set to AUTO mode, Cooling, Heating
(Cooling/Heating models only) or Fan Only operation
will be automatic and is dependent upon the tempera-
ture you have selected and the room’s temperature.

The unit will control the room temperature automati-
cally at approximately the temperature point you se-
lected.

If the AUTO mode isn’t a comfortable setting for your
room, you can manually select the desired settings.

SLEEP Operation:

When the SLEEP button on the remote control is
pressed during Cooling, Heating (Cooling only type
with no heat) or AUTO operation, the unit will auto-
matically increase (cooling) or decrease (heating) 2°F
(1°C) per hour for the first 2 hours.  It will hold that
temperature for 5 hours and then the unit will stop
operation.  The fan speed is automatically controlled.

This is usually the most comfortable temperature and
the most energy saving.

DRYING Operation:

The fan speed is automatically controlled during DRY
operation.

During DRY operation, if the room temperature is lower
than 50°F (10°C), the compressor stops operation and
restarts when the room temperature is above 54°F
(12°C).

OPTIMAL Operation:

See notes below to obtain the maximum performance from
your unit:

1. Do not adjust airflow direction to blow directly
