Stop as soon as possible and turn 
the ignition off. Then start the 
engine to reset the system.

If the light still stays on, or if it 
comes on again while you're driv-
ing, your vehicle needs service. 
Until you get it fixed, the brakes 
will still work, but without the anti-
lock feature.

CAUTION

Driving with any brake warning 
light on can lead to an accident. 
Have the brakes checked imme-
diately if any brake warning 
light stays on.

If the regular brake system warn-
ing light is also on, the vehicle 
does not have anti-lock brakes and 
there is a problem with the regular 
brakes. Pull off the road and stop 
carefully. Have the vehicle towed 
for service.
