B - Tips for the WLAN Module
1. WiFi Module Passthrough Mode
As explained in chapter 3.4, the passthrough mode can be activated via the menu
item
Options → WiFi SERIAL Config → Enable Passthrough Mode
To do this, the USB interface must be connected and the correct port selected in the
serial flash loader. After that, everything that is entered into the serial terminal is
transmitted to the WLAN module. Check in the options dialog that CR or CR+LF is ac-
tivated! The WLAN module needs at least one CR after every command, LF alone
doesn't work.
You can also use the menu item
Options → WiFi SERIAL Config → Reset WIFI + Enable Passthrough
This triggers a hardware reset of the WLAN module and the complete boot output is
displayed. The output in the serial terminal should look approximately like this if the
module has been correctly configured and can connect immediately to the access
point:
