RISK OF BURSTING!
Never exceed the pressure
recommended by the constructor
and in any case 3,5 bar (51 PSI) to
which the machine is self-limited.
If a higher tyre pressure is
required, remove the tyre from
tyre-changer and go on inflating
keeping the tyre inside a proper
safety guard, usually available on
the market.
Stay as far as possible from tyre.
Only qualified staff shall be allowed
to use the machine.
Do not allow any other person to
use the machine or to get close to
it, especially during inflating phase.
7.3 Inflating tyres with GTE system (optional)
•Enable the GTE electronic inflating device by rotating the button (1) positioned on the right side of GTE.
The machine will run an automatic LED test and check the calibration coefficient.
•The following devices will be lighted: BAR or PSI LEDs (10), the large display for reading the tyre pressure and showing error
messages (2) and the display for setting the inflation value (3).
•Connect the inflation head to the wheel valve. You will automatically be able to read off the tyre pressure on the large display
•Use the + and - pressure value setting keys (4) to set the desired inflation value.
•The key (11) serves to deflate the tyre.
•Press START key (9) to start inflation.
•The arrow key (5) is the over-inflation key. To obtain a good tyre beading process, press key (5); the key lights up and the
over inflation mode is activated. The set inflation pressure will be increased by 30%. Once this pressure has been
reached, the inflating device automatically deflates the tyre until it reaches the pressure that was set initially.
For safety reasons, the over-inflation mode is always disabled at the end of the inflation operation so that it is not
possible for it to be activated accidentally.
Furthermore the over-inflation technique is possible only for inflation values not higher than 2.8 bar.
•The T key (6) is the inflation key for tubeless tyres. After having pressed the key (6) and set the pressure value, press the
START key to start inflating.
•Lift the tyre upwards slightly in order to let air pass under the tyre from the nozzles on the clamps .
•After a few seconds a high-pressure air jet is released by the nozzles to bead the tyre. The tyre is also inflated to a 30%
higher pressure (over-inflation) and immediately afterwards deflated to allow a perfect bead.
For safety reasons the over-inflation mode is always disabled at the end of the inflation operation so that it is not
possible for it to be activated accidentally.
Note:
If beading does not occur, press STOP key (8) and repeat the cycle.
