Excessive inching operations, slack chains and driving against the limit stops should be avoided. The loads shall be lifted

off the ground with the lowest available lifting speed (per EN 14492). If these instructions are not followed, the manufacturer

accepts no liability for damage to equipment and third parties caused by such actions.

The LPML/LPL types of the electric chain hoists are manufactured only as D8 versions. They can be operated both individually and in

groups.

Improper use comprises:

• exceeding the defined maximum permissible load capacity

• pulling the load diagonally (maximum angle 4°, see figure 0-6)

• heaving, pulling or dragging the load

• transporting persons

• transporting excessive loads

• pulling on the control cable

• failing to observe the load hook constantly

• running the chain over edges

• failing to observe the load constantly

• allowing the load to fall due to a slack chain

• use in an explosive environment

In the context of this quality standard, a D8 PLUS electric chain hoist has been designed, dimensioned and equipped such that it can be

used for holding loads above people.

C1 electric chain hoist

In the context of this quality standard, a C1 electric chain hoist complies with the requirements stipulated in DIN 56950-1 and can in prin-

ciple be used for holding or moving loads above people.

Electric chain hoists are offered in a variety of types and equipment variants and with different safety devices. Therefore, the choice of the

chain hoist is of considerable importance. Here, the hazards resulting from the type of use are to be used as a basis whilst also taking the

specific conditions of use into account. The selection of the type of the electric chain hoist is dependent on the operating conditions.
