9. Press START/STOP to begin cooking.
10. While the unit is building up pressure, 2 lines will run on the display.
When the pressure level is reached, the cooking time will be displayed
and the timer will start to count down.
Note:
During the pressure building process, steam may escape around
the lid for the first 5 minutes. If you continue to see steam
coming from around the lid or from the valves for more than
10 minutes, you may have a bad seal. Stop the cooking process,
release the pressure and remove the lid. Check that the gasket is
in place. Do not use the pressure cooker if the gasket is
damaged.
11. When cooking time is expired, the pressure cooker will beep and the
pressure regulating valve will
naturally release
the pressure (this may
take up to 15 minutes). When the pressure is released, the floating
locking pin will be in the down position. For
quick release,
USING AN
OVEN MITT OR LONG SPOON, turn and hold the pressure regulating
valve to STEAM. When pressure has been released, the floating locking
pin will be in the down position.
12. The pressure cooker will automatically switch to WARM for 8 hours.
13. To remove the inner pot, using oven mitts, swivel the pot and lift up.
14. Turn the pressure cooker off and unplug from the outlet.
