9.3 Backflush (RS)
Once thermal disinfection is complete,
the small 2-way ball valve opens the
backflushing line. Part of the flow rinses
the hot water upwards from beneath, to
exit the vessel.
Flush volume flow: approx. 60-100 l/min
(depending on line pressure)
Rinse duration: approx. 5 min.
(depending on line pressure).
If there is a power failure
during the backflush operation, the flush
is automatically interrupted by a failsafe
module built into the ball valve drive.
Flashes slowly (about every 2.5 sec.)
