9.2 Thermal Disinfection (TD)
To ensure continued supply to the
installation during thermal
disinfection, water passes through
a bypass in the overflow valve. The
main ball valve is set to the shut-off
position. The water is heated using
an electric heater rod and
transported into the vessel by the
charging pump.
(Note that heating takes place
under pressure!)
Target temperature: 75°C
Total duration of disinfection
process: approx. 3-5 h (depending
on vessel size).
Flashes slowly (about every 5 sec.)
