Maintenance
Any maintenance or repair of this product,
other than that specified within this user
manual, must be carried out by Genevac or
an approved representative of Genevac,
using only Genevac approved spare parts.
Recommended practice
Clean up any solvent or sample spills
immediately. Exterior paintwork may be
cleaned using a cloth or paper towel
dampened with detergent solution, ethanol
or methanol may also be used sparingly as a
cleaning solvent. Do not use acetone as it
will attack the seals.
Leave the outer chamber lid slightly open
when the evaporator is not in use and do not
leave product or solvent in the evaporator
before or after use; only load samples when
ready to begin evaporating.
To avoid unnecessary down-time due to
parts shortage, it is recommended that the
kit of spare parts supplied with the
evaporator, is replenished if parts are used.
The following checks should be performed
routinely:
Before use
Check:
Waste solvent drain is connected
Product solution feed hose is
connected

Drain hose allows unimpeded drainage
Vacuum chamber reservoir water level.

Coolant hose connections are secure
There must be no kinks, sharp bends,
blockages or constrictions in the hoses. If
any hoses are damaged, replace them.
After use
Wipe moisture or condensed solvent from
the inner lid seal and outer lid seal parts
using clean paper towel.
Dispose of waste
solvents in accordance with local laboratory
protocol.
