The cursor rest position is on the right hand side of the dB unit display. To change the
PDL setting, press the left arrow (
◄ ) or the ENTER key to move the cursor to the editing
position. Use the left and right arrow keys ( ◄ ► ) to move the cursor position and the up
and down arrow keys ( ▲▼ ) to increment the selected digit. The PDL value is updated in
real time as the value is changed on the screen. The PDL range is 0.1 to 20 dB.
Press the ENTER key to return the cursor to its rest position. The ENTER key toggles the
cursor position between rest position and edit position.
Note
: The wavelength setting determines the calibration used to set the PDL. Therefore,
it is important that the wavelength setting match the actual wavelength of the light
source. The wavelength setting cannot be changed from the main screen. It can be
accessed from the Settings menu.
MODE
From the main (PDL control) screen, pressing the MODE button brings up the
Functions/Settings menu. Use the
▲▼ keys to select FUNCTIONS or SETTINGS, and
the ENTER key to access the corresponding menu.

From a menu or sub-menu, the MODE button is used to move up a level. From the
Functions/Settings menu, the MODE button returns the display to the main PDL control
screen.
FUNCTIONS:
There are 4 options in the FUNCTIONS menu. Use the
▲▼ keys to move between them
and the ENTER key to select the highlighted option. Up and down arrows on the right
side of the display screen indicate whether additional menu options can be accessed by
scrolling up or down.
