• Never service or adjust machine with the engine
running unless service procedure calls for the
engine to be running.
• Avoid contact with leaking hydraulic fluid or
diesel fuel under pressure. It can penetrate the
skin or eyes. NEVER use your hands to search
for hydraulic fluid leaks; use a piece of paper or
cardboard. Escaping fluid under pressure can
be invisible and can penetrate the skin and
cause serious injury. If any fluid is injected into
your skin, see a doctor at once. Injected fluid
MUST be surgically removed by a doctor or
gangrene may result.
• The operating pressure settings of the hydraulic
system should only be set by trained, qualified
personnel. If malfunctions are caused by unau-
thorized alteration of operating pressure set-
tings, all warranty responsibilities on the part of
the manufacturer are automatically invalidated.
• Never fill fuel tank with engine running, while
smoking or when near open flame.
• Keep body, jewelry and clothing away from mov-
ing parts, electrical contacts, hot parts and
exhaust.
• Wear eye protection when servicing the
machine.
• Lead acid batteries produce flammable and
explosive gas. Keep arcs, sparks, flames and
lighted tobacco away from batteries.
• Batteries contain acid which burns eyes and
skin on contact. Wear protective clothing. If
acid contacts body, flush well with water. For
eye contact, flush well with water and get imme-
diate medical attention.
