be guaranteed up to the input fuses to the inverters.
** Fuses shown for BU32 braking unit. No fuses required for BUy / BU200 braking units.
It is always advisable to protect the braking unit using high speed fuses on DC connections in order to
limit damage in case of failure.
However, if only one braking unit is connected to the drive and the drive power is nearly equal to the
BU rated voltage, then the use of fuses is not required where the drive is already equipped with mains
fuses as specified by the manual.
If the BU rated power is far below the drive rated power, or if braking units are set in parallel, then
each braking unit must be protected by a pair of fuses of the type and rating specified.
The DC connection between drive and BU must have a ground fault protection.
