7.2. Building programs with default segments (TEMPLATE)

7.2.1. Program composition with TEMPLATES

7.2.2. Configuration Procedure

To set a template and build derivative programs, proceed
as follows:
1. Authenticate with level 2 (OEM).
2. Open the

Program configuration

page (Home Page >

SETUP > SETUP MGR >

Controller

SETUP >

page

2).

3. In the page, set "Template enable ON", to enable the

template mode.

4. Open the

Prog list

page (Home Page > PROGRAMS).

The "TEMPLATE" system program is displayed.

5. Set all the types of segments needed to control the

machine, which can then be used when processing
programs are created. Segment configuration in the
"TEMPLATE" program follows the standard program
rules.

6. Authenticate with level 1 (Maintenance).
7. Create a new template-based program by touching the

New prog

button.

8. When you need to enter a new segment in the “Seg-

ments” section, press the |:::| button and then “new
segment”. A pop-up window will displayed that lists
all the segment types in the previously configured
"TEMPLATE" program.This allows you to configure
the processing program segments based on default
segments.

The template is a set of default segments that can be re-
used for building various programs.

9. In the new program you can change the properties of

individual segments (name, SP setpoint, times, etc.).

10. Create, if desired, other template-based programs,

repeating steps 7 to 9.

Warning!

Template-based programs inherit all the

properties defined in the "Base" and "Functions"
sections from the "TEMPLATE" program. These
properties cannot be changed.

The use of the template is particularly useful if the machine
needs to manage different processes, but where the indi-
vidual processing steps are repeatable and standard.
