Checking/replacing homogenizing valves

ATTENTION:

This procedure must be performed after setting machine to maintenance mode (see paragraph 7.3.3)

DESCRIPTION:

Instructions for removal

For maintenance operations of pneumatic-control Homogenizing assembly, proceed as follows (with refer-
ence to figure 7-25):

- remove connections for pneumatic control of piston on the front panel of the machine

ATTENTION

:

The Homogenizing assembly block is heavy!
When removing, handling and positioning the assembly use both hands and suitable personal pro-
tection gear to prevent accidents.

- remove the pneumatic control assembly

to the support flange

- loosen the nuts of the stud bolts that faster the support flange

and homogenizing chamber.

- to extract the complete impact head

, remove first the passage head

, the gasket

and the im-

pact ring

- in case of excessive vibrations you need to check the surface of the shaft of the impact head

and if

needed replace the guide bushings

made of self-lubricating plastic material

- remove the homogenizing assembly block

and rest it on a workbench.
