KTD-404 Controller Keypad Installation and Operations Guide
Tone Type
Step 13)
If the KTD-404 has been programmed for annunciation, it will produce an audible
tone when a call-in request is received. This tone can be programmed to be a
single frequency or multiple frequency (warble).
Select the desired call tone. The display will automatically advance to the next
menu.
Entry Verification
Step 14)
This option changes how camera and monitor numbers are selected while the
keypad is in the normal operating mode.
For example, without entry verification, keying in
0
0
9
would automatically
call up camera site number 9. With entry verification, keying in
9
,
will
perform the same task.
Enabling entry verification changes the function of the
talk
key on the KTD-404
desktop keypad, and the
face
key on the KTD-304R rack-mount keypad. Both
become the
key. An
keycap has been supplied with the unit. Refer to
Keycap Replacement
, Appendix B.
Keep in mind that selecting the entry verification function will cause the talk
function to be disabled. If both the talk function and the entry verification function
are to be enabled at the same time, contact Kalatel for instructions.
Once an entry is made, the LCD menu will return to the Normal Operating Display
(Figure 8).
For annunciation, press
1
. The LCD menu will display Figure 21.
For no annunciation, press
0
, and go to Step 14.
