Installation Warnings
1.) Since the Voluson E8 / Voluson E6 weighs approximately 130 kg (286.6 lbs.) without peripherals,
two people are required to unpack it.
2.) There are no operator serviceable components. To prevent shock, do not remove any covers or
panels. Should problems or malfunctions occur, unplug the power cord.
Only
qualified service personnel should carry out servicing and troubleshooting.

System Acclimation Time
After being transported, the Voluson E8 / Voluson E6 system may be very cold or hot.
It requires one hour for each 2.5

C increment if it's temperature is below 10

C or above 40

C.

Control Panel Position
If weight is placed on the Control Panel (UI) in it’s extended position the console could tip over.

Equipment damage possibility. Turning the system on without acclimation after arriving at site
may cause the system to be damaged.

How to lift/move the system:
1. Remove the footrest cover: Turn the 2 quick release devices
below the footrest 90° (see:
2. Pass a strap through the openings in the metal sheet.
3. Lift the system by the strap and the systems rear handle.
WARNING
CAUTION
DO NOT pull or lift the system with the front handle of the user
interface (control panel).
Always use a strap to lift the system.
DO NOT grasp the metal sheet with your hands.
Move the system forward or backward when going up or down
inclines. DO NOT move the system sideways or diagonally.
