Entering Multiple K Factors
- MULTK
Use this option to enter a table of K-factors. K-factors are used to
create a curve for the flow range (based on velocity or reynolds
number) that compensates for non-linear flow rates. Complete the
following steps to enter multiple K factors for velocity or reynolds
values:
Note:
The factors are supplied by GE Infrastructure Sensing.
Without them the K-factor table cannot be edited.
1.
Press

. The meter enters the user program.
2.

appears and press
[ENTER]
.
3.
Press [

] until the desired channel appears. Press
[ENTER]
at
CH1
or
CH2
.

appears and press
[ENTER]
.
5.
Press [

] until
ADVAN
appears and press
[ENTER]
.
6.
Press [

] until
MULTK
appears and press
[ENTER]
.
7.
Press [

] to select whether to activate or deactivate multiple K
factors and press
[ENTER]
.
Note:
If you select

, go to
Procedure Options
on page 2-20.
8.
Press [

] to select the type of value to customize (velocity or
reynolds value) and press
[ENTER]
.

] to select whether to edit the table and press
[ENTER]
.

, go to Procedure Options on page 2-20.
10.
Enter the number of K factors (2 to 20) in the table by using the
arrow keys. Press [
W
]
and [

] to move the cursor to desired
location and press

and

T
]
to increase or decrease the
number and press
[ENTER]
.
11.
Enter the velocity/reynolds value for K-factor number “X” by
using the arrow keys. Press [
W
]
and [
X
] to move the cursor to
desired location and press
[
S
]
and
[
T
]
to increase or decrease
the number and press
[ENTER]
.
IMPORTANT:
When editing the K-factor table, the velocities must
be entered in ascending order.
12.
Enter the K-factor corresponding to velocity/reynolds number “X”
(0.333 to 3.0) by using the arrow keys. Press [
W
]
and [
X
] to move
the cursor to desired location and press
[
S
]
and
[
T
]
to increase
or decrease the number and press
[ENTER]
.
13.
Repeat Steps 11 and 12 for each pair.
