Adjustment of compression paddle low speed
Pressing the ECS pedal activates only low speed
compression. Press ECS pedal and adjust suitable
(about 1cm/sec) low speed from trimpot R11 (clockwise
to increase).
Press REL release pedal to drive back.
Adjustment of compression paddle high speed
Adjust suitable (about 2cm/sec) high
speed from trimpot R12 (Clockwise to
increase). If high speed changes to low
speed without compresion force adjust
speed threshold trimpot (R43, clockwise
to increase) until only high speed is on.
Adjustment of soft compression speed
threshold (limit for speed change)
Use scale to state the compression force. Press the ECS pedal and adjust
from trimpot R43 until the compression force is about 5-7 kg (10-14 lbs)
when the speed changes.
The speed change force is an item to be considered by the operator.
Ask for the operator opinion when doing the adjustment.
Adjustment of current limit and maximum compression force
A Adjustment of mechanical force limit (28-30 kg, 62-66lbs.) with
manual compression wheels:
– see also section 5.2.8, The mechanical compression limit, Fig. 5.8,
Compression mechanism
– notice that compression force range should be 28-30 kg (62-
66lbs.)
B Adjustment of electrical max. compression force limit (trimmer R 33
board)
– remove cable X4 from C-arm board
– turn the compression force switch (1-6) to position six (6)
– turn trimpot R33 totally to zero (totally counterclockwise)
– place a bathroom scale with 2-3 cm of soft material on top, under
the paddle and compress it like a breast
– adjust with R33 compression force to be 25-27kg (53-59lbs), fix
cable back to the connector X4 on C-arm board
C Adjustment can be done in service program #52SUP/c
– Press kV- and Density- buttons for 3 seconds simultaneously. On
timer display appears Ser .
– Press and Density- buttons for 3 seconds
simultaneously. On mAs -screen appears Pr . In service menu Pr ,
select program #52SUP/c by pressing kV+ or kV- . Enter into the
program by pressing Autoexp -button.
– Select parameter c on density pressing kV+ .
– Press mAs+ and mAs- to select desired subparameter that is
indicated in kV display (see table).
– Change subparameter value by pressing and Density-
buttons. mAs-screen indicates the value for default setting 1-6 in
newton units.
– Accept values pressing Autoexp , exit to main menu.
