Slide the drive module toward the back of the case, then lift the module
out of the case.

Slide the replacement drive module into the case.

Reinstall the hard drive duct by following the instructions in “Replacing
the hard drive duct” on page 17.

Reinstall the case cover by following the instructions in “Closing the
Family Media Center case” on page 7.

Reconnect the power cord and modem, network, and all peripheral device
cables.
Replacing the hard drive
To replace the hard drive:

Follow the instructions in “Preventing static electricity discharge” on
page 3.

Shut down your Family Media Center, then disconnect the power cord and
modem, network, and all peripheral device cables.
