Gates GC20 Cortex crimps the coupling.

After the crimp, the application displays a screen where you can enter the

measured diameter of the coupling you have just crimped (shown in Figure 21

on page 17). By entering the measured crimp diameter, the crimper software

can self-adjust the stroke to increase or decrease the crimp. Enter the crimp

diameter with a leading number (even if that leading number is a zero) and

three decimal places: 1.003 or 0.997, for example.

NOTE:

Measure the crimped coupling as explained in

“Measuring Crimp Diameter” on page 13.

If the measured crimp diameter is beyond crimp tolerance range (too big or

too small), the application makes an internal adjustment and requests that

you repeat the crimp (Figure 22).
