CARE AND CLEANING
WARNING
– Always switch OFF (holding the On/Off button pressed until
the LCD display gets dark), unplug, and leave the appliance cool down, before
cleaning the appliance. Always ensure that all parts of the appliance are
out of
reach of young children
.
Do not spill or pour any liquids on or in the heating base or power cord. Do not
place or immerse the heating base or power cord in any liquids to avoid dama-
ge, risk of fire, and electric shock.
DO NOT clean the heating base or power cord in an automatic dishwasher!
Do not poke under the white top plate of the fan assembly to avoid damage to the
fan. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids (e.g. bleach, solving
agents) for cleaning the appliance or any part of it, to avoid damage to the surfaces.
Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects (e.g. scoring pads, knives, scrapers).
Do not use violence.
During usage, the interior of the dehydration chamber (built via the food trays) gets
coated with residues of the dehydrated food. To avoid the growth of germs and an
unpleasant smell within the dehydration chamber, and for keeping the appliance
always ready for use you should clean all used parts of the appliance after each
usage.
1. Always unplug the appliance, and leave the appliance cool down to room tem-
perature, before moving or cleaning the appliance.
2. Remove the cover and all food trays from the heating base. Remove any food.
3. Wipe the complete heating base using a soft damp cloth. If there are still any
smears left on the top plate of the heating base, damp the cloth with some dish-
water, and thereafter wipe with clear water.
4. Wash the food trays, muesli pans (if used) and cover in dishwater using a soft
nylon brush. Thereafter, thoroughly rinse with clear tap water.
NOTE
If there are any dried-on residues left on the food trays and/or cover, soak the
parts in warm dishwater for approx. 10 minutes. Then repeat step 4.
5. Wipe dry all parts. and leave the parts dry naturally for approx. 30 minutes,
where they are
out of reach of young children
.
Alternatively, you may clean the food trays, cover, and muesli pans in an automatic
dishwasher. Place the parts on the top rack and use a low temperature program.
