SOLVING PROBLEMS
If any problems occur during operation, you will find the solution in the following table.

The LCD display remains
dark, when plugging in
the power plug.
The power outlet is not
live.
Ensure that the appliance is connected to a suitable wall
power outlet (see: ‘Important Safeguards for Electrical
Appliances’). Ensure that the wall power outlet is live by
connecting a lamp.
A severe problem occur-
red. May be the power
cord is damaged.
Unplug the appliance. Get in contact with an authorised
service centre for examination and repair.
The appliance is live, but
the LCD display is dark.
The automatic shut-off of
the LCD display is active.
For saving energy, the backlight of the LCD display gets
dark after approx. 20 seconds without any input. This
is normal. To illuminate the LCD display again for 20
seconds, press the SET button.
The backlight of the LCD
display is out of order.
Get in contact with an authorised service centre for exa-
mination and repair.
A dehydration cycle has
been completed and the
appliance switched off
automatically.
This is normal. Press the On/Off button shortly, if you wish
to start operation again (see: ‘Operation’).
The appliance does not react
to the adjusting dial.
The SET button has not
been pressed.
Always press the SET button, before attempting to chan-
ge the temperature or dehydrating time (see: ‘Operati-
on’).
The appliance switched
back to standby already.
When the SET button has been pressed and no further
entry is made, the appliance switches back to standby
and the value on the LCD display is not flashing any lon-
ger. Press the SET button again and turn the adjusting
dial within 5-6 seconds.
You reached the maxi-
mum or minimum tempe-
rature already.
The range of temperature settings is from 35°C to 70°C.
Turn the adjusting dial to the opposite direction.
A dehydration cycle is
running.
Temperature and dehydrating time cannot be adjusted,
while a dehydration cycle is running. Press the Start/
Stop button to pause the running dehydration cycle. Then
try again (see: ‘Operation / Pause Function’).
