Problem
Possible Reason
The Solution
The appliance needs thorough
cleaning.
Coffee oils on the surfaces of the filter basket and carafe
may lead to a bitter and unpleasant taste. Perhaps, dro-
plets of oil may be on your coffee or stick to the inner
surfaces of your cup. You should rinse at least the filter
basket and carafe thoroughly after each use (see: “After
Each Usage”).
Little droplets are on the
surface your coffee.
Coffee oils accumulated on
the surfaces of the filter bas-
ket and are flushed into your
coffee.
Clean the appliance thoroughly (see: “Care and Clea-
ning”).
There are white or sand-
coloured stains or particles in
the water tank, on the riser
pipe, and/or on the
brewing arm.
The appliance needs des-
caling.
Clean and descale the appliance (see: “Care and Clea-
ning” and “Descaling”).
