Activating Timer-Controlled Operation
WARNING:
In any case, do not forget to prepare the appliance completely
and correctly, when activating timer-controlled operation! Especially ensure that the
brewing arm and filter basket are locked firmly in place, and a suited and suffici-
ently large container is placed on the warming plate (see: “Preparing the Appliance
for Operation”). Otherwise, large amounts of hot water could run out or splash,
causing severe injuries and damage.
Important:
Timer-controlled operation is possible only with the appliance prepared
for operation. At least, a sufficient amount of water must be filled in the water tank
(at least 0.25 litres). Additionally, you cannot activate the timer, without setting a
starting time. Timer-controlled operation is only available once after setting a star-
ting time.
8. Prepare the appliance for operation (see: “Preparing the Appliance for Opera-
tion”). Set the internal clock and the starting time for the timer as described above.
9. Shortly press the AUTO button once to activate the timer. The AUTO button will
be illuminated blue with the timer activated, and on the LCD display “TIMER” will
be shown with the currently set starting time. The appliance will start the brewing
cycle at the set starting time automatically. The AUTO button goes out and the
ON/OFF button illuminates. When starting the brewing cycle, timer-controlled
operation will be deactivated automatically.
• Deactivating timer-control prematurely (AUTO button is illuminated): press the
AUTO button shortly. The AUTO button goes out and timer-controlled operation
will be deactivated.
• Checking the starting time: Hold the AUTO button pressed for at least 3 seconds.
“TIMER” will be shown on the LCD display with the currently set starting time.
After approx. 5 seconds, the appliance will switch back to the internal clock and
“CLOCK” will be shown on the LCD display again. Timer-controlled operation
will be activated still with the AUTO button illuminated.
Note:
For changing the starting time, you have to deactivate timer controlled operation
first.
