Pressure regulators with volumetric valve (GCP
ELETTRICO)
Adjustment of the pressure relief valve:
• Put the main control
1
in the discharge position
(“OFF”).
• Completely loosen the thumbscrew of the pressure
relief valve
2
(unscrewing anti-clockwise).
• Completely open the volumetric valve
5
.
• Start the pump by actuating the PTO of the tractor at
540RPM.
• Open the main control
1
(”ON” position); the pressure
gauge starts operating.
•
Slightly open the discharge cock fitted on the filter
6
(
GCP ELETTRICO
only).
• Completely close the volumetric valve
5
. If the pres-
sure rises above the max limit of the system, ensure
the pressure relief valve
2
is open (see previous
indications).
• Open all section valves
3
(“ON” position).
• Adjust the pressure relief valve
2
at a value exceeding
the operating one (generally 10-14 bar for low volume
nozzles, whereas high volume nozzles work even at
40/50 bar) and in any case lower than the maximum
safety pressure that may be reached by the system.
Volumetric pressure adjustment
• With the volumetric pressure valve
5
take the pres-
sure to the value at which treatment is to be per-
formed (the pressure is indicated on the nozzle tables
depending on advancement speed and litres/hectare
to be sprayed).
ATTENTION
Working pressure adjustment must be performed with the
volumetric valve 5 and not with the pressure relief valve.
In the event the working pressure is too close to the pres-
sure relief valve calibration one, the proportional valve
might not be able to correctly offset speed variations.
Compensated return adjustment:
• Close one section cock only
3
(“OFF” position).
• Adjust the corresponding compensator
7
until restor-
ing the previously set pressure (viewed on the pres-
sure gauge).
• Open and close the section cock
3
and ensure the
pressure remains constant.
• Repeat the operations for all section cocks.
If the types of nozzles are not changed, adjustments
guarantee constant liquid spraying even for treatments at
different working pressure.
Note: if the type of nozzle is changed, calibration must be
performed again.
