ARALLEL CARD ASSEMBLY AND CONFIGURATION PROCEDURE
The parallel card can only be installed with UPS completely switched off and with disconnector switches
(SWIN, SWOUT, SWBATT) open.
1. Remove the metal mask from its expansion slot at the back or front of UPS (depending on the model) and cut the band
around the flat cable and Mini-Fit connector.
2. Remove them, taking care not to damage the cables’ protective covering.
3. Connect the flat cable to parallel card connector J1.
4. Remove the jumper at the end of the cable pair and insert Mini-Fit into connector J2.
5. Make sure that the slider switch SW1 is at “START” on only one of the units in parallel, all the others must be left at “CONT”.
Check also that DIP-switches 1 and 2 of SW3 and SW4 are at ON on all of the units.
6. Move the SW2 DIP-switch to select communication line terminal resistance in relation to the total number of UPSs making
up the parallel system as specified in the following table.

7. Insert parallel card in its allotted slot (as indicated in the figure) and secure it in place with the screws supplied.
