– Microphone Input Sensitivity
Under the menu point “Microphone Input Sensitivity” you can adjust the
gain of the microphone input and thus its sensitivity.
The sensitivity can be adjusted with the
VOL/SEL
turn knob. The
sensitivity can be adjusted separately for the left and right microphone.

A short press of

3.7 MIC
– Selection Microphone Type
The next to last option in the configuration menu is the setting of the
microphone types.
You can directly assign a standard and dynamic microphone to the
respective microphone input or have it automatically selected. The radio
detects the connected microphone by means of the input impedance.
The sensitivity is adjusted by means of the VOL/SEL knob. The
sensitivity can be set separately for the left and right microphone.
In some flight helmets designed for open cockpits, the
standard microphones (electret microphones) show very low
sensitivity. In this case, the "dynamic" setting is
recommended, since this setting offers a much higher gain.
