1.3 Component Names and Functions

This section explains the component names and functions of the server and 
baseboard.

1.3.1 Server (front view)

a

CD/DVD drive

The drive reads data or programs from a CD/DVD.

b

CD/DVD access LED

The LED blinks when data is being read from a CD/DVD.

c

CD/DVD eject button

Press the button to eject a CD/DVD. 
Do not press this when the CD/DVD access LED is lit. 

d

LCD panel

The panel indicates system activities and hardware errors. It usually displays system activities. 
When an error occurs, it automatically displays the system error.

5-inch storage bay

Install a 5-inch internal device.
