Exposure compensation is disabled in the following situations:
When “

” (Forced Flash) or “

” (Red-Eye Reduction) mode is used and the scene photographed is dark.
To select the Exposure Compensation setting,
hold down the “

” symbol also turns
yellow while exposure compensation is being set
and then turns blue after setting is completed.

This setting is retained when the mode is switched
