Selecting Macro mode allows you to take close-
up shots.
The Macro mode setting changes each time you
press the “

” button.

Use this function when you want to take pictures
with the exposure fixed for a particular subject.
Frame the shot so that the subject occupies
most of the center of the screen and then press
the “
$
” button.
The “
%
” icon appears on the screen and the
exposure is locked while you hold down the
“
$
” button.
With the “
$
” button held down, press the
shutter button down halfway to focus the shot
and then compose the shot again.

Once you press the shutter button down halfway, the
exposure remains locked even if you release the “
$
”
button.

When the AE lock is applied, pressing the shutter button
down halfway only sets the focus.

This function cannot be used in “

” photography mode
or for Long-period continuous shooting with 1280

-pixel mode.
