Creating satellite transponder lists
If there are no transponder lists available for your satellite for OCS409, you can easily create
your own.
Most satellite providers have transponder lists in the PDF or EXCEL format available on
the Internet. You only need to convert these lists into a text format and make some format
changes. You also can edit the lists in the Configtool.
Editing in Text editor:
The lists are structured very easily.
The first lines of a list file are the header lines.
The amount of these lines is not restricted.
BUT each line MUST start by a „Sharp-Sign“ (#).
The sharp at the beginning of the line indicates that the rest of the line is only a comment.
For further actions this information will be ignored.
The usable information is tab spaced and ends with a carriage return and a line feed but
at least with a line feed.
The further file structure is as followed:
# Header
Transponder information line (only one line)
Transponder content
– Empty line –
Transponder information line (only one line)
Transponder content
– Empty line –
...
and so on.
The last entry must end with a carriage return and a line feed (CRLF). After this no char
may follow.
The transponder information line has to have important marks.
This line begins with the:
•
Transponder frequency (can contain a POINT for thousands separation)
•
Tabulator
•
Polarisation (the polarisation sign is only ONE char, „V“ for vertical and „H“ for horizon-
tal)
