Error messages
During the transmission of data several errors can occur. These errors will be logged to a report
file (OCS409ER.LOG) which is stored in the root path on the USB flash drive.
If the OCS409ER.LOG file already exists on the flash drive, the information will be appen-
ded to the existing file., new information will appended to the existing file. The last occurred
errors will be found at the end of the file.
Error messages are divided into two groups, the boot loader group and the channel list group.
To differentiate between these groups the following marking is used:
BL:
Boot loader / program update
CHL:
Channel list
The occurrence of error messages may have following reasons:

File not found
The needed file is not at the
expected place, the root path of
the USB flash drive.
The files in root path do not have
the right name:
Boot-File:
OCS409UD.HEX
Channellist:
OCS409CL.HEX
» Please check if necessary files
are stored in the root path of the
USB flash drive, if not, store the
files there.
» Please check, if the file name
was written correctly, if not, cor-
rect the name.
Could not open file
The needed file exists, but it
is not accessible. Maybe another
process locks the file, the file
wasn’t closed (rightly) or there
are other reasons because the fi-
le is not readable.
» Retry the programming
» Reset the device by unplugging
the power cord for a couple of
seconds. Retry the programming
after device is in working mode
(LED lights statically green)
» If multiple retries fail, please
contact the technical hotline
