IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave UDMA: When set to “Auto” the
BIOS will automatically load the Ultra DMA 33 driver to match the
transfer rate of IDE hard disk drives that support Ultra DMA 33 mode.
The options are “Auto” (default) and “Disabled.”
USB Controller: This should be enabled if your system has a USB installed
on the system board and you wish to use it. Options are “Disabled” and
“Enabled” (default).
USB Keyboard Support: Enabled this function when a USB keyboard is
used. Set to “Disable” (default) when an AT keyboard is being used.
USB Mouse Support: Enabled this function when a USB mouse is used.
Set to “Disabled” (default) when an PS/2 mouse is being used.
Init Display First: This item sets whether the PCI Slot or AGP is ac-
tivated first. The options are “PCI Slot” (default) and “Onboard AGP” .
AC97 Audio: Set these items to “Auto” when you are using the on-board
AC’97 audio chip. If you are using an audio add-in card, you should
disable this item.
AC97 Modem: Set these items to “Auto” when you are using the on-
board Modem chip. If you are using an add-in card, you should disable
this item.
IDE HDD Block Mode: Enable this field if your IDE hard drive supports
block mode. Block mode enables BIOS to automatically de-tect the
optimal number of block read and writes per sector that the drive can
support. The default setting is “Enabled.”
POWER ON Function: Enables you to set keyboard or mouse events, or
a password to power on the computer. When set to “Password,” you must
key in your password before pressing any keyboard key to start the
computer. The password is set in the “KB Power ON Password” field.
If you set this field to “Hot KEY,” you can press a hot key combination to
power on the computer. The hot key is set in the “Hot Key Power ON”
field. Options are:
