The installation instruction addendum should be read in conjunction with the DM installation and maintenance instructions.
Internal Release Operating instructions.
If the door is in a locked state, it can be released by pushing the red knob in. The knob should be positioned so that is at an ergonomic height and
can be pressed in, in line with the axis of the shaft.
Once the knob is depressed, the micro switches in the housing will change state and the door can be opened.
After operation of the Internal Release, the machine must isolated and investigated to establish why the Internal Release had t o be used. Remedial
action should be taken to minimise hazards to operators in the future.
The machine must be isolated before the DM Internal Release mechanism can be reset. To reset the unit, firstly close the door a nd hold it in position,
with the tongue assembly engaged on the spigot. From the inside of the guarded area, insert the blade of a small electrical scr
ewdriver into the
hole in the plate, in the slot by the knob. Using the hole, slide the plate away from the knob to release the knob. The knob sh ould pop out to re-lock
the gate. The normal operation of keys must then be used to open the gate and release the operator , before relocking the gate.
