The Focus RS is fitted with a large-bore high
performance exhaust system. The right tailpipe is
equipped with an electronically controlled valve. The
electronically controlled valve ensures a balance
between sufficient back pressure and a sporty sound.
The electronically controlled valve enables:

Minimal exhaust restriction and sporty sound during
performance driving conditions - Valve open
•
Sufficient back pressure and muffled exhaust noise
during highway cruise or low speed/low load
conditions - Valve closed
