Ⅶ. Disassembly and Re
-assembly
1.
Disassembly procedures
1.1
Care for disassembly.
Operator should take an appropriate caution for not being exposed to the fluid or
caching fire.
Wear personal protective gear such as goggles, gloves and working boots.
Pay attention not to catch fingers during disassembly.
When disassembling valves of a large size, use an appropriate lifting machine for
safety operation.
1.2
Before disassembly
1.2.1
Place the valve in a dust-free area.
1.2.2
Take care not to damage the flange surfaces, ball and stem.
1.2.3
Give identification marks on edges of the coupled flanges for adequate and easy coupling
of the body and the body cap on subsequent reassembly.
1.2.4
If bolting is found seized or stuck each other because of rust, apply some lubricant and
leave it for 30min to 8 hours depending on the intensity of rust for easier unthreading.
