Construction and part names are as illustrated below.

The valve can be operated by rotating the stem by 90°to open or close.
1.3
The valve is designed for use in the fully open or fully closed position only.
1.4
The valve has a stem at the top and trunnion at the bottom to support the ball, the design of
which gives the valve less impact on its operation torque.
1.5
This is a bi-directional valve.
