5. To roll the snow thrower off of the carton, pull on the handle.
6. Remove any packing material that remains from handle and auger
housing.
7. Cut plastic shipping ties that may secure the control cables to the
lower handle.

Assemble the handle and chute control (Fig. 5 & 6)
1. Remove the fasteners and the chute control eyebolt from the lower
holes of the lower handle.
2. Raise the upper handle to the operating position.
3. Install the fasteners and the chute control eyebolt that were just
removed. Do not tighten until all fasteners are in place.
4. Attach the chute control to the universal joint assembly with the
hairpin.
5. Tighten nut on eyebolt. Make sure eyebolt is properly aligned and
the chute control can freely rotate.
6. Check the control cable connection. If the control cables have
become disconnected from the control levers or bottom, then
attach the cable to the levers or bottom.
7. Check the heat handle and cable in good condition.
8. Tighten all handle fasteners. Remove and discard any rubber
bands and cardboard, they are for packaging purposes only.

Assemble the chute and deflector assembly (Fig. 7 & 8)
1. Position the chute assembly over the chute base
2. Install and tighten 4 sets bolt & nut provided. Be careful
not to over-tighten.
3. Rotate the chute control to check the assembly.
4. Loosen the deflector knob to adjust properly, retighten the knob to
secure the deflector.
