Introduction

User authentication
Some dialup connections (Internet service providers, etc.) require user authentication (ID and
password) for connection. When required, enter your ID and password using communication
software (dialup network) to establish connection. Your ID and password are assigned by your
Internet service provider or a network administrator of the dialup connection. For details,
contact the provider or administrator.

Voice communication
An earphone microphone (optional) and the F2402 Utility are required.

Videophone
Real-time video and voice communication is available using videophone supporting equipment
and videophone application.

Other notices

When your PC operates on the battery, pay attention to the battery level. Using the FOMA
terminal with a weak battery may result in unstable communication.

Under the following conditions, do not set the PC in standby or hibernation, which may
cause unstable operation:
• During communication using the FOMA terminal
• While videophone application is launched
• While the F2402 Utility function is ON (Orange)
• While the F2402 modem is being used by communication software, such as Hyper
Terminal

• Videophone is an optional function available when supporting applications or equipment
are released.
