Maintenance

9.1.

Update the aircraft ﬁrmware

For you to update the aircraft ﬁrmware, please consult our

product Support pages

9.2. Cleaning the drone

It is important to clean the drone after a ﬂight in a dusty or dirty environment. To do so, use compressed air
from an air blow gun or gas duster can.

Please note that using a wet cloth with normal water should always be the ﬁrst choice to clean prior to trying
isopropanol alcohol. If necessary, Isopropanol alcohol can be used to clean the cage and any surface of the
drone, but be aware that not all the material of the drone should be treated with isopropanol regularly. If you
do use isopropanol to clean the drone, apply it gently with a toothbrush or a rag.

Avoid the direct use of water, as this may damage the electronics.

9.2.1 LED lights

Take special care of the onboard lighting system. Accumulated dust or other dirt on the LEDs’ surfaces will
reduce the lighting capacity of ELIOS 3.

9.2.2. Motors

Pay special attention to the motors. Dust or other particles may damage the motors if allowed to build up
inside. Use compressed air to remove all dust and particles from the motors and regularly check for dust
ingress in between ﬂights, especially when ﬂying in a metallic dust environment as metallic dust might stick
to the magnets of the motor.

To guarantee the performance and reliability of the motors, they must be replaced following our maintenance
schedule, which can be found on our Support Page,
