Figure 4.9: Distance lock uses the co-axial distance sensor, which follows the camera’s head pitch.

Using measurements from the distance sensor, ELIOS 3 is able to ﬁx its distance from a surface. The distance is
measured between the front of the camera and the nearest surface in the middle of the ﬁeld of view.
