Transducer damping mats are installed on the pipe lengthwise. The pipe damping mats can be installed
on the pipe lengthwise or crosswise. In the example, they are installed lengthwise.
Number of damping mats
The damping mats are installed on the entire pipe circumference.

The number of installed damping mats is 315 mm / 50 mm = 6.3.
6 damping mats (1010 mm x 50 mm) + 1 damping mat (1010 mm x 15 mm)
The damping mats can be cut into smaller pieces to make installation easier.
