Pixel bit depth
The sensor has a configurable 8, 10 or 12 bits integrated Analog/Digital converter.
The 10 bits conversion is not supported by the camera.
The pixel format is selected using the standard
SFNC PixelFormat
register.

Analog control
Conversion efficiency
There are two built-in conversion gain: High Conversion Gain (HCG) and Low Conversion Gain (LCG).
HCG must be used for low light conditions. For bright light conditions and high illuminated scenes, LGC
must be used.

The selected conversion efficiency is high.
Analog and digital gains
The sensor has an additional gain up to 48dB gain in LCG and HCG modes:
0 dB to 24 dB : Analog Gain (0.1 dB step)
24.1 dB to 48 dB : Digital Gain (0.1 dB step)
Analog gain has the advantage to reduce noise. When digital gain is applied, pixels values are multiplied
without any effect on noise value.
