BIOS Setup

Typematic Rate Setting

This determines the keystrokes repeat rate. The default is Disabled.

Enabled: Allows typematic rate and typematic delay programming.

Disabled: The typematic rate and typematic delay will be controlled by the

keyboard controller in your system.

Typematic Rate (Chars/Sec)

This is the number of characters that will be repeated by a keyboard press.

The default is 6.

Options: 6 ~ 30 characters per second.

Typematic Delay (msec)

This setting controls the time between the first and the second character

displayed by typematic auto-repeat. The default is 250.

Options:  250/500/750/1000 msec.

Security Option

This category allows you to limit access to the System and Setup, or just to

Setup. The default is Setup.

System:

The system will not boot and the access to Setup will be denied if

the correct password is not entered at the prompt.

Setup:

The system will boot; but the access to Setup will be denied if the

incorrect password is not entered at the prompt.

APIC Mode

This item allows you to enable APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt

Controller) functionality. APIC is an Intel chip that provides symmetric

multiprocessing (SMP) for its Pentium systems. The default is Disabled.

Options: Enabled, Disabled.

Fast:

The A20 signal is controlled by Port 92 or chipset specific

method.
